Offer a memory, a word, a line of a song — and watch a design begin.
a musing, not a design — those happen in person
Where the house runs its design experiments: one design at a time, sketched by hand and rendered until it is right.
Pieces you can take home now. A selection from the case; ask about any of them. The online shop opens soon, and the newsletter hears first.
Appointments are hosted, not sold. Tell us a little first, and we will write back to find a time.

Every gem is a way of seeing; NJEM is the room where you learn to look.
NJEM is a bespoke fine-jewelry atelier on Forty-Seventh Street, New York. We work in colored diamonds and rare stones, treating each as a lens — onto a place, a culture, a moment in time — from the vintage hand to the modern line to what comes after.
A commission begins with a conversation, not a catalogue. Together we find the stone, then design around what it wants to say; you see every study before anything is set. Appointments are private and unhurried, by arrangement.
NJEM is a family name. It grew out of a generation of trading color diamonds and gemstones in New York, and it carries one belief forward: the design is what holds the value. Authored, never copied.
The founder is a jeweler and a composer, so a piece can begin with a song, the sound of a moment, or a voice — translated not just as a waveform but as the feeling it was meant to carry.
The NJEM Design Series is where the house runs its design experiments: something seen, heard or felt that day, sketched by hand and rendered until it is right. Some become pieces. Any of them can become yours. Pieces you already own can begin again here too — reset, reworked, given a second life.
The NJEM newsletter: new designs from the NJEM Design Series, first looks at new pieces, and private viewings. A few notes a year.
